Fashion Reporter
Pay: Per-Assignment Rate (2-3 stories per week, 2 days in the newsroom)
QUALIFICATIONS
Enrolled as a full-time student at Michigan State University (12+ credit hours)
Understand the type of news content apt to resonate with the Spartan community
Strong writer and interviewer
Able to meet deadlines
JOB DESCRIPTION
Produces content related to different fashion-centered stories. This could include:
Online trends
Fashion-related events at MSU
Features about students regarding fashion
Include coverage of products and health and beauty
Follow/cover MSU fashion influencers
Looks in unique places for event stories, such as posters, flyers, social media, and word of mouth.
Collaborates and communicates often with visual journalists on each story to help create the most engaging content.
Maintains journalistic ethics and social media ethics.
Creates stories that are informative, interesting, fair, and accurate.
Maintains regular newsroom office hours as documented by the managing editor.
